TROPONIN T

Troponin T is a blood test used to detect heart muscle injury. It may be recommended when symptoms such as chest pain, pressure, shortness of breath, sweating, or unusual weakness raise concern about a heart problem. Elevated Troponin T can indicate damage to heart muscle but may have several causes. Results should be interpreted urgently along with symptoms, ECG, and other clinical findings.
