TB Gold Quantiferon is a blood test used to help detect immune sensitization to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria that causes tuberculosis (TB). It is commonly used to screen for TB infection, especially when there is a history of exposure or increased risk. A positive result indicates TB infection but cannot by itself distinguish active TB from latent TB. Results should be interpreted along with symptoms, medical history, and other investigations.
