Anti HCV lgM

Anti-HCV IgM is a blood test used to detect IgM antibodies associated with Hepatitis C virus infection. It may be recommended when there is a possible exposure or symptoms suggesting a liver-related infection. A reactive result indicates an immune response but does not by itself confirm an active infection. Results should be interpreted along with HCV antibody testing, HCV RNA, and other clinical findings.
